You are standing in the hallway of an old wooden house. It is rather dark, the main source of light comes from the open door behind you.

To your right a small painting of this house hangs on the wall. On your left there is a cork-board with small pieces of notepaper pinned to it.

Further along the hallway you see two doors.
A closed green door with a strip of sunlight showing beneath it.
A red door standing ajar. Through it you glimpse some shelves of books and a wooden writing desk.

At the end of the hall are stairs leading up to a door with a cheerfully colourful finger-painting pinned to it, and down to a door of dark wood that has been so highly polished you could almost see your reflection in it.
