I really do enjoy the cold weather. It seems so nice when the sun comes out and the colours of the plants and the flowers are so vivid.
My garden is growing really well. I play the radio for the veggies on the weekend, they listen to sports talk, and I tell them how well they're growing every day.
Some rabbits got into the vegetable patch, under the fence, and chewed the bottoms of some of my pea plants. I don't think there's too much damage, and I've closed the gap they snuck in through. I didn't realise, when I started talking to them, that their destruction would feel a little bit more personal because of that. I feel like they bit my mate I talk to over the fence every day, the rude little beasts.

Whatever was stealing my strawberries must have been sitting in my pot plants as well, and some little strawberry plants are popping up here and there. Life really is all swings and roundabouts, I guess.
I've transferred some of them into little pots and brought them in to protect them from the cold, using the bathroom window-ledge like a little greenhouse. I also have a little tomato plant that came up amongst my spinach and the potted ivy I bring in for the winter, so it is getting a little crowded in there, and is likely to get even more so before spring. As they say in Swedish, if there's room in the heart, there's room in the arse :)

That concludes today's flora and fauna report.
